The West Coast

Here's a sign you don't see on the East Coast although we do have our hurricane evacuation routes. We all know how well those work on olde Cape Cod with only two bridges leading off-Cape. People here feel the same way about the Tsunami evacuation route.

Old Town Florence OR sits along the banks of the Siuslaw River which empties into the Pacific. Huge sand dunes have built up on the shore. The town reminds us of the town in the book Snow Falling on Cedars. The mountains and the pines come right down to the shoreline.

You guys look amazing! We continue to follow your progress and are traveling with you in spirit. Your journey has brought memories to the surface for many of us as you travel accross the country and we reminisce (sp?) about the places we've lived, worked, and traveled to. Stay safe and enjoy!
